Dear Community Business Owner: Parkhill School is a private, nonprofit organization and a state-certified nonpublic special education day school, located in Canoga Park/West Hills area of Los Angeles, California. Parkhill School provides special education day school placement and therapeutic support services of counseling, vocational training and transportation to approximately ninety children and adolescents, ages six (6) to twenty-one (21) years of age in grades 1 through 12, with average or better intellectual abilities, and who manifests specific learning disabilities in combination with mild to moderate social, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and their families. Educational placement and services at Parkhill School are provided under contract with the student's local public school district when there is no appropriate program in the public school to meet the student's needs. Parkhill School operates EXCLUSIVELY with public revenues. There are NO parent fees. Parkhill School is celebrating it's fortieth year of operation this 2005-2006 school year. The parents and community volunteers have chosen this anniversary year to solicit monetary and other kinds of donations from the members of the local business community to support and further the educational and therapeutic programs of the school. This year donations are being solicited to create a new school library and media center to benefit all of the children at Parkhill School. Items in need include but are not limited to:
